説明不要！インディーロックの重鎮、ブロンドレッドヘッド。Vo./Gui.のカズ・マキノにGui.アメデオ、Dr.シモーネのパーチェ兄弟を加えた3人でニューヨークにて1993年結成。 22年を経た今に至るまで、その唯一無二のサウンドはまったく色褪せることがない。近年も来日公演をはじめ、コーチェラ（アメリカ）、Zanne（イタリア）、Dour（ベルギー）など数々の音楽フェスティバルに出演。各国を股に掛ける精力的なライヴ・ツアー活動を続けている。

“Dripping”や”Lady M”などのヒット曲を生んだ９作目のスタジオアルバム、”Barragán” (2014) は世界的な話題作に。今年の上半期にはGrizzly Bearよりクリス・ベアを迎え、彼の手によってセンセーショナルに生まれ変わった先述曲のリミックス、”Much More to Lady M”を公開。こちらは”Barragán” のトラックをもとに再構築しリリースされる、新たなアルバムのファーストトラックとして発表された。ミュージックビデオの制作やツアー、スペシャルイベントを控えている多作な彼ら。フロントウーマンとしても、また優れたビジュアルアーティストとしても活躍するカズ・マキノを中心に、ファッションとの心躍るコラボレーション企画も待ち受けており、その多彩な活動はとどまるところを知らない。

Indie rock veterans Blonde Redhead need no introduction. Formed in NYC in 1993 by vocalist/guitarist Kazu Makino, guitarist Amedeo Pace and drummer Simone Pace, their iconic sound remains relevant 22 years later. They continue to tour internationally, playing shows and festivals the world over; recent highlights include performances in Japan, Coachella in Indio, California, the Zanne Festival in Catania, Italy and the Dour Festival in Dour, Belgium.

Blonde Redhead continues to stun with the release of their ninth studio album Barragán, an international success that has spawned hits “Dripping” and “Lady M.” Earlier in 2015, the band debuted a sensational remix of the latter by Grizzly Bear’s Chris Bear, the first track from an upcoming release of reworked cuts from the new album. Next up for the prolific band comes music videos, new tours, special events and exciting fashion collaborations from frontwoman and brilliant graphic artist Kazu Makino.
